Women lead the way

UP to $5000 is now available for projects benefiting women in WA as part of State Government grants to promote women’s leadership.

Women’s Interests Minister Liza Harvey said local governments and eligible community service organisations could apply to pay for project costs including advertising, printing or childcare.

“Women in Western Australia face a number of barriers to improve their status; they continue to be underrepresented in leadership roles and are more likely than men to have no savings at retirement,” Ms Harvey said.

“The WA Grants for Women program enables eligible organisations to work with women towards gender equality.” Applications close on March 17.
