YOKINE couple Santo and Delia Romano celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary this month.
They will mark the occasion with their two sons and other family members at a Doubleview restaurant on December 16.
Mrs Romano’s parents worked as market gardeners after arriving in Perth from Italy in 1949 and Mr Romano emigrated from Italy in 1964.

Stirling councillor Suzanne Migdale presented the couple with a plaque from the City of Stirling to commemorate the occasion.
Mrs Romano shared her secret for a long and successful marriage.
“My motto is always love and respect each other, always be caring, patient and forgiving,” she said.
“I wouldn’t change anything, so proud to reach this milestone.”
