Youth theatre company brings Tim Winton’s coming-of-age tale Blueback to the stage

REDFOOT Youth Theatre will bring to life Tim Winton’s coming-of-age tale Blueback this month.

Named after the fish he befriends, Blueback is the story of Abel Jackson and his mother Dora.

The cast features 13 young performers, including boys from Hale School and girls from Woodlands Primary School, Carine Senior High School and Methodist Ladies’ College.

Director Natasha Souris said the production was about working together to preserve the natural environment.
