Happy ending

Janice TeoStirling Times

THANKS to the efficient staff in Justice Minister Michael Keenan’s office, friends of ours will have a very happy Christmas that seemed impossible 10 days ago.

The parents and children were so looking forward to their grandmother arriving from South Africa, only to be told in a frantic phone call that her visa for Australia was no longer valid and the airline had turned her away at Johannesburg airport.

Our friends quickly arranged for another visa application to be lodged online but were told it would take at least two weeks to process.

They then called Michael Keenan’s office to explain their predicament.

Within two days, the new visa had been issued and granny’s trip re-organised so fast that she will arrive before Santa drops in.

What a wonderful gift for this family who are so grateful to their Stirling MP’s helpful staff.
