What about the other 45 million forcibly displaced people in the world? Millions of these people are living in refugee camps in dire conditions in places such as Africa and some have been waiting there up to 20 years for resettlement.
Shouldn’t these people be given priority over asylum seekers who subject their children to dangerous sea voyages and obviously have the money to pay to keep the people smugglers in business?
