THERE is nothing wrong with Scarborough Beach.
We have lived near the beach for 29 years. Why is the City of Stirling spending millions to upgrade the beach?
We don’t need more cafes, swimming pool, entertainment space and so forth. If people want swimming pools, there are lots around Perth. If they want entertainment, they can go to Perth Arena.
The money should be spent on people in need – the Red Cross, cancer unit and so forth.
Where does the City get the money? Well, from the rates we pay. What a joke.
Will we be forced to move somewhere quiet? I think many people will get out of Scarborough and find a quiet suburb and beach.
The only thing we need here is more parking spaces.
Every summer you have all these bands playing. The sound is deafening and travels up the hill so nobody can sleep.
