Mad mystery

Janice TeoStirling Times

PUTTING an aggressive speed hump 10 metres from a bus stop near Doubleview lawn bowls club in Shearn Crescent is madness.

The kerb-side front wheel of 410 buses heading south on a downhill gradient approaching bus stop 19275 misses the hump but the driver-side wheel hits it full on.

Twice I have seen elderly people nearly knocked of their feet by the bus lurching to the left as it approached the stop with them standing up to get off at the stop.

Why this short street needs such aggressive traffic calming is a mystery.
