Native Trees for Stirling

Janice TeoStirling Times

I NOTICED in the Stirling Times’ March 15 edition that the City of Stirling plans on spending $78 million over 15 years planting trees to combat the loss on private land, for which I commend it.

However, I hope serious consideration is given to the type of trees planted, which need to be native species suitable for our wildlife, as their habitat is continuously being destroyed.

I also hope that something can be done to stop developers removing every tree from private property before construction.
