How dare these tycoon-types come here and try to ruin everything for honest, hard working ordinary folk, not only for the locals but visitors too?

How can we even consider developments that are so audaciously in excess of regulations?

Their outrageous proposals should be dismissed out of hand. Surely there are sufficient overdeveloped foreshores around the world already. They must be clamouring for this type of high rise.

The charm of Scarborough ought to be its elegant simplicity.

If you don’t like it, please just clear off and multiply elsewhere.

However, let us not be lulled into a sense of false security.

This was only the opening gambit.

They will get their way in the end because they have invested too much already to suffer disappointment.
