Opinion: Why build a four-storey building right at my front door?

I don’t think the Mayor of Stirling City Council likes me. I don’t think its CEO likes me either. Here I am, a little old lady living in nice quiet suburbia, and they want to build a four-storey commercial building right in front of my front door.

I am really tired of attending all their tightly-controlled meetings, asking questions at question time and getting no logical answers about WHY. It is all to do with laws, regulations, and the Business Plan of the building applicant I think.

Do they really think that, because I am old, my distress doesn’t matter? That I’ll be gone soon anyway?
