All I receive in my inbox are form letters which read: ‘We have reviewed your application and after considering your skills, qualifications, background and experience relevant to this particular position, we regret to inform you that we will not be progressing your application to the next stage.’

I receive, on average, five of those a week, but I apply on average for 20 to 30 jobs per week.

I have been looking for work since July 2012.

I am a 50-year-old female of normal intelligence.

In all that time, I have been called in for three assessments and four interviews.

All I want to do is work, is that too much to ask now?

Please, please, just talk to me, don’t just push me aside like one of dozens of pieces of paper. I am a hard worker.
