So grateful

Staff ReporterStirling Times

ON Sunday, March 9 I lost my late grandmother’s treasured engagement ring.

I had been shopping in Coles at Scarborough and missed the ring on my return home. I notified a very helpful store manager, Debbie, that there was a possibility it might be in her store.

Two hours later, I received a call from her to say that the ring had been found and handed in.

I have already thanked Debbie and I now thank the person who was honest enough to return the ring that means so much to me.

The ring, while not very valuable in a monetary sense, began its life in Scotland, migrated with my grandparents to Perth, lived with them in the bush at Lyall’s timber mill, thence to Collie and finally to Perth.
