Realmark Coastal claims REIWA awards win

REIWA hosted more than 900 real estate professionals at the Reiwa.com Awards Ball recently to celebrate the industry’s best performers at a carnival-themed event held at Crown Perth.

Several local property agents went home winners, including Realmark Coastal managing director Sean Hughes, who went home with the award for top salesperson by auction listings sold.

Mr Hughes sold sold 14 properties under the hammer for more than $21 million in total in the 2015/16 financial year.

“Considering the challenging market that Perth has been through last year and also the timing with auctions being a new thing in Perth, the win feels pretty great,” he said.

“A big contribution (to the win) would be the auction accreditation by Ross Hunter that we put all my Realmark Coastal sales team through this year.”

Professionals was awarded the top franchise and/or marketing group prize for the 21st time in the past 28 years. The group listed 2321 properties in the past financial year, which sold for more than $1.03 billion in total.

“It is particularly pleasing for the group to have won this award during the same year Professionals is celebrating its 40th anniversary since the establishment of the group,” Professionals chief executive Shane Kempton said.

“Being committed to our values plays a big part in our success and why we have won this award so many times.

“Our people strive for excellence in all that they do and look for ways to challenge the status quo to ensure our clients receive remarkable service and maximum value.”

Sell Lease Property, which has 120 property sales representatives across metropolitan Perth, took home the prize for top office by listings sold for selling 594 properties for more than $320 million in total.

“It’s a nice recognition of three years of hard work,” Sell Lease Property chief executive Brett Quinn said.

“Our goal is to have a property consultant servicing every suburb across the Perth metro.”

Other big winners on the night include LJ Hooker Claremont’s Vivien Yap team, who was named top team by value sold, and Applecross agency Terranovis, who was rewarded with three wins in total.

REIWA chief executive Neville Pozzi said the awards provided an opportunity to celebrate WA’s leading real estate sales professionals.

“The Reiwa.com Awards Ball is an annual event which recognises the best of the best in WA real estate in regards to sales achievements,” Mr Pozzi said.

“On behalf of everyone at REIWA, congratulations to the winners and finalists of the 2016 Reiwa.com Awards.”

Guests at the ball were entertained by singer-songwriter Anthony Callea with husband and actor Tim Campbell as MC.
