HAWAIIAN surfer John John Florence and the USA’s Lakey Peterson have taken out this year’s Margaret River Pro titles.

Some of the world’s best surfers have been battling it out at the competition at Margaret River’s Main Break, which is the fourth stop on the World Surf League’s 2019 Championship Tour.

World number one Florence beat American Kolohe Andino to win the men’s title, with Aussie surfer Julian Wilson making it to the semi finals.

Legendary surfer Kelly Slater made it as far as the round of 16, placing ninth overall.
