BARRACUDAS Swimming Club member Jack Beattie (15) says his goal is to beat last year’s team in the English Channel Swim.
The Churchlands Senior High School club will take on the channel in two relay teams this July.
Jack, who also delivers the Stirling Times, said the teams were training at the Churchlands’ pool up to seven days a week.

READ NOW“We are pretty excited because it not long now – it’s at the end of July,” Jack said.
“We are all in good shape for the swim.
“My goal is to beat the team from last year.”
Jack said conditions were looking good for the swim, with a flat tide predicted for the swim from England to France.
The club is looking for sponsors.
