President Brad Hearn said Carine received gold status from the AFL Community Club Program last year in recognition of its excellence in administration and governance.

“Our membership continues to grow, and in 2018 we also fielded four female teams, alongside Auskick, and our junior and youth teams,” he said.

“Financial growth, a new constitution and strategic plan, and a move into the new $3.14 million Carine clubrooms on Beach Road contributed to a highly successful year for the Carine Junior Football Club.

“We finished the season with a couple of premiership flags too, with numerous players also selected in various State teams and development squads.”

The club was also a finalist for the club of the year and marketing awards.
