Scarborough fell outside the top six after a frustrating loss to Fremantle in Round 12 of Premier Cricket at Abbett Park on Saturday.

Gulls skipper Wes Robinson’s heroics were not enough to get the side over the line in pursuit of Fremantle’s day one score of 9-365.

The Gulls fell to 3-32 early, before Robinson scored 90 to keep their hopes alive.

Ed Barnard added 33 for the hosts, however the consistency of Fremantle was too much in the end as the Gulls were bowled out for 202.

Andrew Rule finished the day off in style to take 2-4 and have the Port Boys at 3-24.
