Cricket: Scarborough to start WA Premier Cricket season against Wanneroo

SCARBOROUGH Cricket Club will host Wanneroo at Abbett Park in round one of the 2016-17 WA Premier Cricket season on October 8.

The Gulls, who finished 15th last season, face Subiaco Floreat away in round two before meeting University at James Oval in round three.

First and Second grade fixtures include 15 games, with eight one-day fixtures and seven two-day fixtures.

In the first grade, round five is a grand final re-match between reigning premiers Rockingham-Mandurah and Fremantle at Lark Hill while the first day of play in round 14 has also been tentatively scheduled as a ‘Past Players’ Round’ across the competition.

The Third and Fourth grade fixtures include 13 games, with six one-day fixtures and seven two-day fixtures.

The Colts fixtures include five rounds, with 17 teams competing including the Country XI.

The Premier Cricket First Grade Grand Final will be played at the WACA across two days on Saturday and Sunday March 25-26.

The One Day League Grand Final will be played on Sunday, March 5.
