Football: Scarborough beats University on back of 4 goals from Adamson-Holmes

A FOUR-GOAL haul from Jordan Adamson-Holmes helped Scarborough claim victory against University in the WA Amateur Football League A-grade competition.

Despite a late surge from University in the final quarter, the Gulls won comfortably 10.10 (70) to 7.3 (45) at home.

They remain just a game behind ladder leaders Fremantle CBC.

Trinity Aquinas came from behind to overrun visitors North Beach by two points.

North Beach managed just seven points to the home team’s 21 points in the final term, with the final score 13.5 (83) to 12.9 (81).

They remain third on the ladder and next week take on seventh-placed Kingsway at home.

Scarborough will head to Wanneroo to play the Roos.

In the Women’s A-grade competition, North Beach had a huge win over Bayswater, 12.6 (78) to 0.0 (0).

Lexi Lindsay kicked four goals, while Morgan O’Connell and Sarah Cosoleto each kicked two.

North Beach will next play at home against Kingsley.
