FOUR rising soccer stars from the West Ham United International Academy based in Gwelup will represent WA at a national identification camp in Brisbane.

Illyas Harper, John Lahai, Braedon Rodgers and Stefan Poposki, aged between 14 to 15 years of age were chosen to participate in the West Ham National ID Camp.

“These four players were selected for their consistency, consistent improvement with skills and application to the game and they are very good, reliable lads to work with,” he said.

“The players will be training with other players that come from different states in Australia and they will be coming from Asia as well.

“These other players are high-standard soccer players and it will help them (four boys) with their development as they train and play with very good players.”

Leigh said 12 coaching staff from West Ham would be attending the camp to identify talent for future trial opportunities.

He said the academy was in its second year and had strong numbers of talented players.
