FOUR martial arts beginners have taken home gold medals in their first sparring competition with Core Martial Arts in Stirling.

The club teaches traditional taekwondo and martial arts skills to Under-7s at Stirling community centre on Monday and Wednesday.

Trainer Clayton Simpson said the club began a competition sparring class this year to train their students to compete in the sport.
