Innaloo surging ahead of MFL prelim

Laura PondStirling Times

INNALOO are surging ahead in the Metro Football League following a huge semi-final win.

The Bulldogs were seventh on the division one league ladder in round 15 but rose to fourth at the end of the home and away season.

They are making the most of their finals berth after beating Warwick Greenwood by nearly 10 goals in the elimination final.

Innaloo followed it up by beating last year’s grand finalists Midland 10.9 (69) to 7.11 (53) on Sunday.

Veteran Tony Jones kicked three goals in the match and was helped by great performances from Brandon Pickett, Cameron Bass and Justin Riseley.

The club, which is celebrating its 50th year, will now face 2018 Premiers Queens Park in the preliminary final on September 8 at John Dunn Oval in Kelmscott.
