Karrinyup resident Graeme Begbie named in WA Thundersticks side

KARRINYUP resident Graeme Begbie has been named as part of the WA Thundersticks side to take part in the Australian Hockey League (AHL) next month.

The Diamonds women’s side also named Kyra Flynn of Stirling and Jemma Buckley of Scarborough to line up in the hockey tournament that will see the athletes go up against some of the best in the world.

This year’s AHL will be the first time in the event’s history that both men and women’s competitions will take place at the same venue.

International teams from New Zealand, Malaysia and India have also been introduced in to the competition for the first time.

The AHL 2016 will take place Perth Hockey Stadium from September 29 to October 9.
