No cool runnings for Perth bobsleigh duo after exiting two-man event at PyeongChang Winter Olympics

PERTH bobsleigh duo Lucas Mata and David Mari just missed out on a final run in the two-man event at the PyeongChang Winter Olympics.

The Australian pair finished 22nd after the third run, 0.13 seconds outside of the top 20.

Canada won gold following the fourth and final run, with Germany snatching silver and Latvia winning bronze.

Mata, from Scarborough, piloted the bobsleigh and will do so again in the four-man event with teammates Mari, Lachlan Reidy and Hayden Smith.
