TWO students from a North Beach martial arts academy have become Australian taekwondo champions.
Alex Thom won the male black belt 12 to 14 years, 31 to 34kg division at the Australian Taekwondo Championships in Victoria last month.
His Core Martial Arts teammate Hannah Wilkinson also dominated her category, winning gold in the female blue belt 10 to 11 years, 31 to 34kg division.
