North Beach thumps Wanneroo in WA Amateur Football League

NORTH Beach registered a thumping win in round 7 of the WA Amateur Football League’s A-grade competition.

The Tigers beat Wanneroo 20.15 (135) to 7.8 (50) at Charles Riley Reserve on Saturday.

Fremantle CBC proved too good for Scarborough in the top-of-the-table clash, with the Gulls recording their first loss of the season.

The new ladder leaders relegated Scarborough to second spot following the 11.8 (74) to 7.10 (52) win.

The Gulls take on ninth-placed Curtin Uni Wesley at home next week, while North Beach will tackle seventh-placed Wembley.

In the Women’s A-grade competition, North Beach beat Quinns District in a low-scoring match.

The Tigers kicked the only goal of the game, winning 1.2 (8) to the Bulls’ 0.3 (3).

Third-placed North Beach will play ladder leaders Curtin University Wesley next week.
