SCARBOROUGH’S finals hopes have been dealt a huge blow, with their Round 13 Premier Cricket fixture against bottom-placed Rockingham-Mandurah abandoned.

Wet weather ravaged Perth on Friday, with the Abbett Park surface wasn’t prepared for the game, meaning the sides split the points.

To make matters worse, all three clubs above the Gulls, Melville, South Perth and SubiacoFloreat, managed wins in Round 13.

The result leaves Scarborough 11 points outside the top six with two rounds to play.

The Gulls looked the goods going into day two after bowling out the Mariners for 248 on the first day.

The hosts had progressed to 1-67 by stumps, with Wes Robinson making 52.
