Scarborough Cricket Club’s Cooper Connolly wins Inverarity Shield as player of the year

UP-and-coming Scarborough cricketer Cooper Connolly was awarded the player of the year at the WA Premier Cricket Junior Awards Night earlier this month.

More than 300 people gathered in the WACA’s Boundary Room to recognise the outstanding individual and team performances from junior players.

Connolly was awarded the Inverarity Shield for Player of the Year and was recognised with the Under-13s batting and bowling awards.

Scarborough resident Bradley Marlborough was awarded Under-14s player of the round and the Under-15s Scarborough club champion award went to Lachlan Lynes and Brendan McPhee, while Under-17s club champion went to Jack Hardy.

A number of special guests attended with John Inverarity and Michael Veletta on hand to present the awards for the Inverarity and Watkins Shields.
