Scorcher Joel Paris delights the kids at Tuart Hill Primary

PERTH Scorchers player Joel Paris visited Tuart Hill Primary School students yesterday as part of PlayCricket Week.

Students were able to ask Paris, of Scarborough, questions about his career and Scorchers mascots Blaze and Amber also attended.

Australian Cricket Census data for 2015-16, released this week, showed the sport attracted more than 1.3 million participants across the country.

Scorchers players Ashton Agar, Nicole Bolton and Elyse Villani also visited schools in the metropolitan area.
