BALCATTA pulled off a shock win against Perth in round 9 of the National Premier Leagues WA.

It is the fourth consecutive win for Balcatta, which beat the home team 1-0 in Perth’s first loss since round 1.

Calum O’Connell kicked the only goal of the match at the 65th minute and Balcatta’s strong defence helped to secure the win.

At Macedonia Park, Stirling Lions took an early lead against Perth Glory on Saturday, with goals to Steve Sokol in the 47th minute and Liam Henderson in the 57th.

But Perth Glory fought back and had scores level as the match entered injury time.

Walter Scott kicked the winning goal for the away team in the dying moments of the match and launched Perth Glory to top position on the ladder.
