Soccer: Balcatta’s winning streak ends with 2-4 loss to Cockburn City

Laura PondStirling Times

BALCATTA Football Club’s four-game winning streak has ended with a loss to Cockburn City in the National Premier Leagues WA. The home side went down 4-2 in the scrappy round 10 clash.

Jonathan Corness and Adriano Jelenovic provided goals for Balcatta but were outscored by Cockburn’s Luccas Mello, who scored a hat-trick against his old club, and a one-goal contribution from Anthony Skorich.

Stirling Lions were unable to secure a win at home also, drawing 2-2 with Perth Soccer Club.

They dominated for much of the game but David Micevski’s two goals were matched by dual scores from Perth’s Paul Zimarino.
