A player from each club was at the draw – Dean Evans from Floreat, ECU’s Daryl Nicol, Gwelup’s Cameron Yorke and Charlie Kenna of Armadale.

Unbeaten first division leaders Gwelup Croatia are no strangers to NPL WA competition having taken two scalps on its way to the last four; it has defeated Cockburn City and Subiaco.

Gwelup coach Taki Nocolaidis said his side was eager to go and salivating at the prospect of taking down a third successive NPL WA team.

“There are a couple of ex-Athena boys in our squad, which makes it even tastier, and a home game will help us as well,” he said.

“We had a really good atmosphere on Sunday, and in the precious round against Cockburn… we’re expecting a big crowd in the semi-final and hopefully we can put our best foot forward.”

The winners of the two ties will qualify for the national round of 32, when A-League sides enter the competition, as well as the Football West Belt Up State Cup Final.

The Belt Up Cup Final will be held at Dorrien Gardens, home of Perth SC.

The ties will take place on the public holiday of Monday, June 4.

Kick off times are yet to be confirmed.
