Soccer: Stirling and Balcatta record losses in latest NPL WA matches

Laura PondStirling Times

STIRLING and Balcatta both suffered losses in the weekend’s National Premier Leagues WA matches.

The Lions faced Floreat Athena away, going down 3-1.

The home team kicked the first two goals of the match before Stirling’s Daniel Micevski scored in the 73rd minute. But Floreat booted another late in the game to seal the deal.

Stirling have slipped to second-bottom of the ladder and next play 12th-placed Subiaco at home on July 21.

Balcatta missed a couple of chances to score and was eventually overrun by Armadale.

The 10th-placed Balcatta will play Joondalup United away on July 21.
