Stirling sporting clubs in line for WA Club Industry Awards gongs

SEVERAL City of Stirling clubs have made the WA Club Industry Awards finalists list, with winners to be announced on June 11.

The awards recognise community sport, social and cultural clubs, employees, members and suppliers.

Scarborough Sportsmen’s and Social Club were nominated for WA’s best club chef, best club members large event, employee of the year and best club TAB.

Doubleview Bowling and Recreation Club, Innaloo Sportsmen’s Club and North Beach Bowling Club were also nominated for best club TAB.

Clubs WA chief executive officer Karen Giles said clubs were prominent figures in the community.

“In the 10 years since our first awards, we have seen many individual sporting codes introduce their own programs to celebrate achievements within specific fields,” Ms Giles said.

“It is wonderful to see everyone come together to celebrate the collective achievements of this vibrant industry at this annual event.”

More than 400 guests, 30 clubs and 70 individuals are expected to attend the event.
