Players came from Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria to compete in the three-day competition, having qualified by winning elimination tournaments in their states.

Innaloo Bowling Club manager Murray Ryan said current world singles and triples female champion, and Commonwealth Games gold medallist Karen Murphy, also played.

Events included the Scottish International Singles, World Indoor Singles, World Indoor Pairs and the International Open Singles.

The Innaloo Sportsmen’s Club was the first in WA to build an indoor facility, which opened three years ago.

Ryan said the club received compliments on its facility, especially the playing surface, and he was happy the event had been a success.
