PERTH property developer Andrew Spencer is no stranger to a surf at his local break, Trigg.

And of late he’s had the pick of his pro surfer son Anthony’s longboards while the 21-year-old heads to Spain from France and then on to Long Island, New York, to compete.

On Sunday when the Times photographed him, Andrew had picked up “some beautiful faces” in the full-moon tide and came up with a ditty he plans to send to Anthony, who’s ranked No. 33 in the world:

Son’s away in Spain
Dad can play
Different surfboard
Every day
