Justin BianchiniThe Advocate

FOURTEEN police auxiliary officers will join WA Police when they graduate at Joondalup Police Academy today.

The graduates have completed eight weeks of intensive in-house training, followed by on-the job training designed to equip them for their roles.

Their work will complement that carried out by police, by performing essential behind-the-scenes tasks to enable officers to be released to frontline duties.

The average age of the graduates is 27 and they have a range of skills and abilities.
