AGED care providers in the electorates of Moore and Pearce will receive more than $500,000 to provide home support services.

Through the Commonwealth Home Support Program, the Federal Government has granted $115 million national for organisations to help older Australians live at home and maintain their independence.

Moore MHR Ian Goodenough and Pearce MHR Christian Porter welcomed the announcement of about $330,000 and more than $285,000 for their respective electorates.

Both said that helping people to stay in the communities they grew up or worked in, would keep communities strong.

Federal Government releases said the funding would support people who needed help with household chores, preparing meals, personal care and home maintenance.
