Although Gray (64) has worked as an office manager, public accountant and personal assistant, she said art had always been her true passion.

‘Art has been my passion since I was nine or 10, when I won my first art prize in school. I dabbled in it only a bit until my 20s, then painted a lot in oils Australia-wide,’ she said.

Gray said art truly was a therapy and she had become more involved since retirement seven years ago.

Valley Artists Society artists Ian Howard, Michele Grace Anderson, Kaye Kabzinski, Maria Italiano and Ian Blake also displayed their diverse works, with painter John Whitehead exhibiting Easter-themed pieces.
