Better traffic flow predicted with completion of NorthLink

TRAFFIC flow from Ellenbrook to Muchea will be improved under the final stage of the NorthLink WA development, announced this week by Transport Minister Bill Marmion.

The $175 million project is the third and final stage of the $1.12 billion NorthLink WA project, which was awarded to CPB Contractors.

Mr Marmion said the final section of highway would improve safety and efficiency for road users and residents.

“Northlink WA is a vitally important project, generating 1000 jobs,” he said.

“The final section involves construction of a free-flowing dual carriageway between Ellenbrook and Muchea, with new interchanges at Stock Road, Neaves Road and Brand Highway.”

Construction for stage three of the highway will begin this year, with completion expected by 2019.
