Blooming good fun at Chittering Wildflower Festival in Bindoon

Laura PondThe Advocate

The four-day festival in Bindoon encourages visitors to enjoy a self or guided wildflower tour and take part in a variety of activities, such as an art and photography exhibition, quilt and crafts display and the apron revival.

For children, there will be face painting and wildlife carers with animals to meet, while other highlights include market stalls on the weekend and an historic vehicle display on Sunday.

The wildflower exhibition in Bindoon Town Hall will feature more than 300 local specimens, wildflowers for sale and local produce.

Festival committee member Sue Carter said it was one of Bindoon’s main events.

“Every year it’s getting bigger,” she said.

“We want people to come and see the wildflowers and all that we have to offer.”

Chittering Wildflower Festival will run 10am to 4pm daily from September 17 to 20 in Bindoon.
