Brigadoon: police searching for Bells Rapid Park attacker

POLICE are seeking information about an incident at Bells Rapids Park, on Cathedral Avenue, Brigadoon this morning.

Between 7.30am and 8am, a woman in her 20s was sitting in her vehicle, which was parked at the park, when a man armed with a knife opened the driver’s door and threatened her.

The woman struggled with the man before kicking him and causing him to fall backwards.

The woman took that opportunity to drive away and drove to a police station where she reported the incident.

During the incident she received minor lacerations, believed to be from the knife.

The offender was described as male, with olive skin, approximately 185-190cm tall, and a slim/skinny build.

He was wearing dark jeans, a grey jumper, a baseball cap and a scarf across his face to conceal is identity.
