There is no immediate threat to lives or homes but there is a lot of smoke in the area.
The bushfire is moving quickly in a north easterly direction and is considered unpredictable.
There are currently no road closures in place but people travelling along Chittering Road and Great Northern Highway are advised to be cautious of smoke.
