Businesses rally together to support murdered Ellenbrook family

Lauren PilatThe Advocate

THE Perth community and local businesses are rallying together to support the family of murdered Ellenbrook mother Michelle Petersen and her children Bella and Rua.

A Wangara eatery and Middle Swan fish and chip shop will be donating all money raised from the purchase of selected meals on Thursday to the remaining Petersen family members by recognising their Maori heritage.

My Island Kitchen Wanneroo Markets and Swannies Fish and Chips came together on Facebook to “tautoko our Ellenbrook whanau”, meaning to support the extended family and community in this tragic time.

The money raised from the sale of chop suey and rice, and island style chicken curry and rice, during dinner from 4.30pm on July 19 will be donated to the family to help support them financially.

In the Facebook post, the businesses encouraged people to come to Swannies Fish and Chips at 21 Dance Drive in Middle Swan hungry to “support this good cause.”
