Ellenbrook: call for help to treat neglected shar peis

Staff WriterThe Advocate

The WA Shar Pei Protection group described it as the worst case of neglect they’d ever seen.

The baby of the group, Marvin, was in the worst condition.

“He is a case of inbreeding and has a huge facial lump, corkscrew nails, horrific mange and is just broken,” the group wrote on Facebook.

“We didn’t expect him to last the night but he is a fighter.”

The group has launched a GiveEasy page to try and raise funds for vet bills for the dogs.

“This is our biggest fundraising mission ever and we are counting on you,” they wrote.

“We desperately need to raise funds to pay for eye surgeries for all three, skin treatments, many follow up vet appointments, de-sexing, vaccinations and the list goes on.”
