ONE-year-old Caversham swimwear brand Don Swim has made a splash in the international fashion community after featuring in two Vanity Fair editions.
Founder Shannon Donovan said seeing Don on the pages of Vanity Fair was the label’s biggest achievement so far.
“That was another level of achievement that I never thought would even be,” she said.

She said Vanity Fair looked for up and coming businesses which suited the style of the magazine and found Don on social media.
The Caversham resident said another achievement she was celebrating on Don’s first birthday was having a community of people who genuinely liked the brand.
“They are on my social media accounts and they are letting me know how well we’re doing and kind of watching us grow as well, which is really nice and something that I didn’t think I’d ever have,” Donovan said.
“People are keeping an eye out for us and watching us grow month by month – that’s probably the nicest thing.”
She said starting her business has afforded her new opportunities.
“We are a small business so we go to a lot of small business networking events and learn so much from other small business owners,” she said.
Donovan said she was hopefully releasing her summer collection this month and a second collection in March.
“That would be nice to get another collection out because I just think it would do really well,” she said.
“I would love to be able to get into some stores next year just because I know that when people put Don on that it’s a comfortable swimwear.”
