CITY of Swan councillors have passed a motion to adopt the Local Biodiversity Strategy, which identifies areas in need of protection.
The strategy aims to provide clear targets and actions for conservation, which will ensure the City’s biodiversity values are effectively conserved and protected for the future.
Mayor Mick Wainwright said the strategy was first adopted in 2005 and was recently reviewed.
“There was significant community involvement in the review of the Local Biodiversity Strategy,” he said.
