City of Swan gets a boost from NATAS Travel Fair appearance

The City of Swan has taken part in one of Singapore’s biggest travel fairs to promote the Swan Valley to an international audience .

The NATAS Travel Fair 2017, which was held from February 17 to 19, attracted more than 110,000 visitors over the three-day period.

City of Swan Mayor Mick Wainwright said the fair was a fantastic opportunity for the City to promote the region as a premium food and wine tourism destination to a global market.

“The region ticks all the boxes – not only is it full of things to do, eat and see, it’s family friendly and can be enjoyed by people of all ages,” he said.

“Early reports from the fair’s travel agents suggest there was a high level of interest in the Swan Valley from attendees and from what I have been told, that interest has even converted into ticket sales.”

The City also hosted a media event while in Singapore at the ME@OUE rooftop restaurant, which enticed more than 100 guests from the travel trade, media and food import sector.

“The guests not only got the chance to sample local products, produce and wines, they also got to taste food cooked by Swan Valley Humane Food Ambassador Caroline Taylor.
