City of Swan scores with free holiday boot camps

FREE school holiday boot camps held in the City of Swan at Aveley’s Vale community and Brabham’s Whiteman Edge got the thumbs up from kids.

The sessions were run by property group Stockland for children aged six to 12, and focused on team building and co-ordination exercises aimed to build confidence.

WA general manager Col Dutton said the boot camps were a good excuse for youngsters to get out and about.

“Not only did the sessions put children through their paces in a series of enjoyable activities, they provide a great way for youngsters to make new friends.

“The boot camps are also a great alternative to children spending time on their phones, tablets or PlayStations.’’
