CWA teaches how to cook on a budget

The CWA are currently running cooking classes at the Midland Town Hall once a month and want participants to learn the art of cooking healthy meals on a budget with fresh ingredients.

CWA president in Midland, Maureen Barker said she was very pleased with the popularity of the classes.

�We have been working with the City of Swan to build up these classes and help the local cooks who want to get off takeaway meals as much as they can.

"It's cheaper to eat food prepared at home and healthier," she said. �We have attracted good crowds since the classes started, especially with people who like to cook Malaysian and Thai and Indian dishes.

"The classes cost $5 each session and are held on the first Tuesday of the month."
